“I could not imagine how much my life would change when our family became members of the Peace family 24 years ago. I have always called myself a Christian even though there have been times I haven’t lived like one. But God blessed me with my wife Barb and her strong faith. And I thank God for her devotion and patience. When we arrived at Peace we were burned out, struggling in a church and gasping for air, but God breathed life into us through the Pastor and the people at Peace.

I learned that there is nothing more important than being in His Word. By delving into the Word and attending Bible studies, God convicted me that I needed to be a better husband and father. I needed a lot of work and the progress was slow, but God showed great patience with me. My wife and I both got involved in the work at Peace. I was given an opportunity to work in youth ministry and this grew me and strengthened me.

But His plan was only beginning. The Holy Spirit called me to organize a men’s event. This event became the Man Feast, and more than 3,000 men have attended this event since 2007. It has given me a passion for men’s ministry and encouraging men to become better men. God’s plan is always bigger than our plan, and it all starts with being in the Word and doing what it says (James 1:22). Though I am a sinner constantly in need of His grace and forgiveness, being in the Word has helped me become a better husband, father, son, friend and member of the Body of Christ at Peace.”
